Sam Barden
Sam Barden is a Managing Director at AQ Technology Partners where he focuses on M&A, growth capital raising, and strategic advisory for leading software and software-enabled businesses.
Sam has 10+ years of investment banking and M&A advisory experience. Sam has closed dozens of transactions with the world’s largest strategic buyers and technology focused private equity firms across various application and infrastructure software subsectors.
His most recent work includes completed transactions in areas such as marketing technology, ERP, GRC, cybersecurity, HCM, and vertical SaaS (e.g., healthcare, real estate, manufacturing, and energy).
Prior to AQ, Sam was a Director at Pagemill Partners, a leading mid-market M&A and investment banking platform focused on high growth and emerging technology companies. Earlier in his career, Sam worked in the Corporate Finance group of Duff & Phelps where he performed valuations, transaction opinions, and advised on M&A transactions for companies ranging from small, privately held businesses to Fortune 500 corporations.
Sam is based in Chicago and graduated with honors from Miami University with a degree in Finance.
